Default Rival vs. Pipeline

I have noticed that both of these discs are similar. Can someone share the differences and/or anything else between the two discs?

I haven't thrown either, so I'm qualified to answer by DGCR standards... my impression is that the Rival is more overstable (Teebird-esque if you will) while the Pipeline has some turn and is more of a straight shot disc. Of course the Rival has way more plastic options at this point (right?) so you can get all kinds of flight paths. Would it be fair to say the comparison is kinda like a Star Teebird to a DX Teebird, or even Teebird to TL?

I haven't thrown a rival but I can say that every pipeline I've ever thrown is more flippy than a teebird or even a TL. You wil almost always get some turn out of a pipeline unless you throw it super soft.

I'm not sure what type of Pipeline I got but it is seriously one of my longest discs. I can consistently get it out 400+ if I lay into it. All Rivals I have thrown max around 350-375. The pipeline has a nice big s curve pattern while my Rivals are straight then forward fade. Wish I had more Pipelines like the one I have. We have a flat open hole in town that is 422' from the long, and I put the Pipeline 35' right and pin high.

Just from looking at the flight chart, would a better comparison be phenom vs pipeline? Seeing how everyone says that with power youll get an s curve. I havent thrown a phenom nor a pipeline so i was just wondering.

The Pipeline is one of my favorite fairway drivers now. It can go and go and go. It can almost go as far as my distance drivers, but gets there in "slow motion" with the nice glide. My son throws a Rival, usually as an understable disc when he wants an anhyzer, which I can also do with the Pipeline. So, we use them for similar shots. Personally, I can vouch for the Pipeline as an awesome disc though-- I consider it one of the more underrated (in terms of exposure) new discs of 2016.

I am thinking about trying something like the pipeline. Also considering the phenom and the FD. Thoughts?

I'm looking to try the Pipeline in the future, though it's not a priority for me. I like the FD and believe everyone should at least try one.
