Default In Colorado, How Does an Orbital Fly?

If you play at altitude, I would like to hear your EXPERIENCE with the flippier MVP/Axiom discs like the Orbital, Virus, etc.

I’m a noodle arm, but I can flip that orbital into a roller at sea level from 40 degree hyzer. Should I keep it for when I open the first DG course on Machu Picchu?

More overstable.
No, you should not keep it. It's Gyro.

Don't know about those discs specifically, but at 8000' I'd say discs on average fly like they have -1.5 to turn and +1.5 to fade over their regular ratings.

I can hyzerflip an Axiom Insanity at sea level, but up here it hyzers into a straight laser shot.

Not experience you are looking for but...at about 4500' I'd say pretend you threw the disc 50' shorter. If you typically throw it 350', then throw it 300' and see how much it turns and fades. It will do that flight pattern at close to your normal distance. If that takes away turn from like -1 to a 0, where it really makes it stable instead of glidey, then expect to lose noticeable distance on that particular disc.

I live at 7k feet. I throw a Hatchet all the time at home for turnovers and hyzerflips. At sea level it is only a roller. Save your understable discs.

Yeah last time I was at 4000' the best Disc in the bag was Avenger SS which was reserved for trick shots and anhyzer... it was my straight driver used it all tournament in place of an Orc.

I don't get all this orbital hate... my 155 is a little squirrely guessing the hyzer angle downhill, but flat ground or the 165g no problem. Definitely a backhand disc...
