I'm coming off a multi-year break due to a back injury, and I'm just trying to see what's out there. MVP's dual mold discs, in theory, should be better than anything else out there.
Axis can take a little more power and is a little better in the wind because of Gyro/overmold. I also found it to be longer. But I still bag the Buzzz over the Axis myself.

Axis all day. When I was throwing them I preferred Eclipse in max weight. People will probably recommend Tangent or Alias, but they'll both be shorter and slower than an Axis and definitely more so than a Buzzz.

What is it about the Axis that isn't doing it for you? Curious because I eventually switched because I wanted something that had a little more LSS after it beat in a bit.

Try a newer run Neutron Axis.

The first run Protons are probably a bit too stable to replace the Buzzz.

Axis is more of a BuzzzSS than a Buzzz. /ducksforcoverbuttellingtruth/

I went Buzzz -> QMS -> Tangent. Buzzz is a hard disc to beat without copying it, no need for you to drop a good thing. But you might like Tangent or Axis.

Agree. Great disc though.

I have a few 178g first run Vectors and Axis, but they're just not doing it for me. I admit it could be totally mental.

I'm thinking a 170ish Axis should be quite Buzzz like. What do you guys think?
The 1st run Vectors tended to be quite beefy. You might want to revisit that one.

No alias love? It reminded me more of a slower buzzz and axis like a faster buzzz.

Don't bag either one though and was a buzzz guy for a while. Just find I like a mid which has more defined roles in the bag.

The very heavy FR axis/vectors with gradual dome tend to be on the OS side.

Don't force it. I like MVP too, and find myself bagging more and more of their discs, but I've tried the Axis, Alias, Theory, etc... and the Buzzz remains the core of my midrange setup. Not that the others weren't nice, they all could have had a spot. At the end of the day though, they simply weren't a Buzzz. If you held a gun to my head and took both Buzzes from my bag I'd probably be using my Envy to cover a lot of the shots.

Proxy reminds me more of a mini buzzz and envy mini roc.
