Default Post-PDGA Worlds in Charlotte question

I am going down to NC on vacation the week after worlds; July 22nd - 29th. Will it be "back to normal" crowd-wise that week or will any courses be closed for cleanup or anything like that? Thanks in advance for any info.....jerry

It should be back to normal. _MTL_ is running an A tier in Raleigh/Durham that weekend(28th/29th) and he puts on great tournaments.

With all the courses closed for the week, there may be a slight jump in participation for those trying to get their fix in. Charlotte courses aren't normally packed so you should be alright. If you are looking for events there are a number of things to do in the evenings DG wise.

Youll be good on any course in the morning on any weekday. Weekends even. We built courses faster than people could pick up the sport. Busiest courses are Elon Eager Beaver, Bailey Road Park, Reedy Creek.

If you are trying to get all Charlotte Courses I would do those in the mornings of a weekday. All other courses shouldnt be a problem playing.

Thanks for all your help bro. I am actually gonna be down in the emerald isle area but we plan on making a day trip out of the Charlotte area courses. 5 guys, 2+ years of experience each. Used to wooded courses. No big arms in the group but a couple who are able to "make" shots on a consistent basis. Don't want super easy but don't want complete misery either. What courses should we play?

If you've never played Renny, then Renny (Gold) and RL Smith.

GET A MAP for Renny.

Hornet's nest is a good one that fits that description imo and is a fun but tough play.

I'll just go with what you should stay away from

Butt kicking misery for most= Nevin, & Renny (ELon angry may fit in that catagory)

Real easy=Bailey rd and Elon Eager

Also if it is a hot day I would avoid eastway in the afternoon. Also RL SMith Is very hilly so it may be one to avoid on a multi course hot day.

If you're going to be at Emerald Isle you should also make a day trip to Wilmington to play Castle Hayne. It's right up there with any of the Charlotte courses imo.
