Default Stable/Finesse/woodsy mids

Hey Guys,

Looking for recommendations on a mid-range disc that will be great in the woods. I love my comet, but wish it had a tad more fade to offer. That disc holds a line, and stays there.
I love my Roc as well, but looking for something a little gentler and less overtable.
Ideally something with numbers in the realm of 4 or 5, 5, -2, 2.
I used to throw a Skeeter, which I haven't thrown in years. I remember liking it at the time, but my game has changed a lot since then.
Also been looking at Discraft Impact. No experience with it, but it sounds cool.

Anyways, apologies if there is already a similar thread, just looking for some recommendations in that realm.

Cheers!

Mako3 and Buzzz SS are inbetween those two. Very straight/neutral without needing to throw hard, but also will handle a bit more torque than the Comet. If you want more glide but at the expense of ability to range then I like the Core still, but if you want a touch of fade then it needs to hyzer flip slightly to flat so that it can then come back.

I do think that the Mako3 is a great disc for dead straight no nonsense flights. Never owned one but always enjoyed throwing them, and would recommend it as one of the first discs for anyone to get.

What kind of Comet do you have? You could definitely find something a little more OS... use an MJ sig Z or ESP, or a Ti

I know you're asking for a mid but I often substitute a 400g PA4 for my stable Comet shots. It's really great for hyzer flips in the woods. Since my bh has gotten stronger & I've learned to put spin on it. My Comets sometimes hyzer flip to turn where the PA4 will always hold straight. I'm sure there are other putter molds that can do similar work if Prodigy isn't your flavor.

As slowplastic said above, the Mako3 is a good suggestion.

I would also recommend a Panther if you can find one with a relatively high PLH. Older pink Panthers (with the old script stamp) are nice and straight-stable.

Legacy Gauge. Thrown flat with 75% power it's dead straight. Want to hyzer flip it? Sure give it a slight hyzer angle on a good rip it will flip to flat with a slight left fade towards the end of it's flight on a RHBH throw. It does turnover's well too with it turning and burning.

Hit a tree with your Roc. Boom, perfect pairing. You’re welcome.

I actually throw an MJ Sig, which is great, but it just holds a line and doesn't give me much for flex shots.

I also do have a Star Mako 3, which I don't currently bag, but maybe should revisit it. Also found it to be stable, but not quite the "S" shaped shots than I'm looking for.
