Today I was ready to brag but I faltered at the end. Disappointing but still a good score:
3,3,2,3,3,3,3,2,2,2,2,3,2,3,3,5,3,4=51
Have they cleared any more stuff? One thing I noticed about hole 1 is that the right hand FH anny has a lot more room to work without those bushes on the right. I thought I didn't get enough turn on mine and instead I ended up 60' from the pin. Makes hole 1 short more of a true par 3 now rather than a weird tweener.

Would be nice if they could push all the junk on hole 7 farther down the hill a little.

There hasn’t been any more work other than mowing done. The rumor is they will invest some time this fall.

I have a Star Mako3 lost beyond that junk on 7.

I got a round in today. I was a bit concerned early in the round ‘cause things were looking grim. I was able to work out the kinks and finish solid. I’ve been practicing putting again. Mainly just drilling 15-20 footers. It’s amazing how it helps on the course for longer putts.

Today’s scorecard:
3,3,5,4,4,2,5,2,2,2,2,3,3,3,3,3,2,3=54

I managed to squeeze a round in between my managers meeting and my shift today. Rockland reds:
3,3,2,3,3,2,4,2,4,4,2,3,2,3,3,3,2,3=51

Oh what could have been. The missed putt for 2 on hole 5 was unacceptable. The 4’s on holes 9 and 10 were as well.

Are you playing the Cardinal in Oct? I picked up a Star Mako3 I'm never gonna throw in West Virginia if you want it.

Did you throw a backhand flex for hole 5?

I had the day off and registered for the Cardinal. To celebrate I played a round from the blues at Rockland.
3,3,3,3,5,3,5,2,3,3,3,3,3,3,3,4,4,3=59
I achieved my under 60 goal but missed putts on 3, 16 and 17 left a sour taste.

Txissouth, I’m always down for backup mako3’s especially if they have wap wap stamps! And yes I threw the flex Thunderbird on 5 yesterday.

Perhaps I should have another random drawing to drum up Superfan support.

I'm in but prize has to be video of Bean slurping down a beer. Seriously, a video. Start building your brand if you want Superfan support.

The Cardinal flyer says we’re playing two rounds from the “white” tees which means we’re playing the reds. Since I wasted my last round on the blues I played the reds today.
3,3,3,3,2,2,4,2,3,2,2,3,3,3,4,3,2,3=50
This is my best in quite some time but I need a bit better if I want to contend for the MPO win at the Cardinal. I predict 96 will take the open division.

I missed putts on 9 ( off the number plate), 13 (into the cage) and 15 (also low into the cage). I hate missing short! It feels like my putting rhythm is mostly back to its old form. A little more practice putting at home and a bit more mindfulness towards my routine is what I need.

I got a round with Austin in this afternoon. We played two nine hole matches with final score being the tiebreaker. We started on the back nine.

The play by play:
10. The new Sirius Omega to 25’ deep and a smashed putt. I’m up 1 on Austin.
11. Forehand Draco to the late left corner trees. Pitch up to drop in.
12. Champ TL3 pulled left but kicking into the left side fairway just past Bertha. Forehand Mortar to 25’ deep easy 3.
13. Little Magic through the side entrance to 15’ putt.
14. Forehand Champ TL3 to the top of the hill short of the path to 15. Little Magic laser, never in doubt. Kaboom, I’m up 2 on Austin.
15. Mortar to the sweet spot, Little Magic to 10’ and I’m up 3.
16. Roadrunner roller landing and ending a little right and about a quarter of the way up the hill. Then a sneaky hyzer with my seasoned Sirius Omega to 30’ left of the pin. I can it to win match number one 3-2.
17. Chumped TL3 to short and right to a halfhearted bid with Little Magic. 3.
18. Star Wraith to just beyond but under the branches of the second to last cedar at the top of the hill. Kneeling Little Magic to a gimme 3.

Match two:
1. Anhyzered seasoned Omega kicking slightly right off the bottom trees and finishing just short of the flat. Same Omega with a stiff headwind to 30’ left. The putter is on fire.
2. Spike hyzer Draco into a right to left headwind. I’m short and left of the uphill gap. I’m more left than I want to be but I also threw short enough that I can make do. I anhyzer the seasoned Omega to 10’ short. My 3 puts me up one on Austin.
3. Austin says, “there’s a deer!” It’s hanging left of the fairway just on the upslope. I say, “I’m going to scare the ish out of it.” I pipe the Champ Roc3 and it skips passed the pin to 30’. The deer is unfazed. The putter is on fire. I’m up 2.
4. Roadrunner roller halfway up the hill and a Little Magic anhyzer to a gimme.
5. The flexed Champ Thunderbird is started too wide and I fade into the pawpaws. I spike forehand the Mortar 25’ long and the putter works. Austin smashed a 45’ turbo from the right hand schule to get one back.
6. I pull the seasoned Omega a bit left and kick right, just short of the true pit of sorrow. I pull of a ridiculous anhyzer with Little Magic while standing in fallen tree trunks and branches. Drop in 3. I still lose the hole to Austin so we’re square.
7. Forehand Champ Thunderbird to prime time. About 200’ out. I pipe Little Magic but I know she’s low. From 40’ short I pull my putt left and then clean up a 4.
8. I try to late turn Little Magic but pull it left. I run L.M. over the top from 90’ and cash the 27’ comeback. Austin is up 1.
9. The new Omega ends up close to 30’ short but uphill of the basket. Austin is parked. I smash it. He wins match number 2.

I took the total score tiebreaker 50-52. That’s another 50 on the books. 40’s are tantalizingly close.
