Anything but the Sonic.
Trident if I want to go straight, Firebird if I wanna go straighter, flippy F2 if I wanna lay it down on some cut and then curl left.

I find myself throwing more anny-chop sidearms at WVO than FH rollers.

Nice shooting! Way to overcome the first round struggles. I want to get out and play the new tee pads.

WVO 2020!
AMs went Woodshed, Whippin Post, Woodshed.
I didn't check the weather beforehand and did not take enough bedding and froze my buns off Friday night which really impacted my first round for sure. A 72 on Woodshed was just depressing. However an afternoon nap, some re-zoning and playing loose led to an even par 66 on Whippin post, which I was ecstatic about, and was thinking that was probably the best I was gonna do for the weekend. Third round, however I caught fire (for me anyway) and cranked out a 62 Woodshed. I was hoping it could be my first 1000 rated round but as of right now it's just a 992.... Shout out Spencer for lending me a warm sleeping bag.

I ended in second which is crazy after my horrible first round, but at WVO anyone except Hammersten can have a blow up round which is how I climbed back up.

Bag
I was running the one in the picture early, except I lost my Z Comet at Spilman Thursday, replaced it with a fresh ESP that was a little shiny, threw that in the lower pond at Woodshed and slid in ANOTHER fresh ESP Comet.
I bought a $10 ESP Zone just for lols and it might kick the Breaker out of the bag, it's just got such a cleaner forehand release with power. I wish it was a little less stable.

Oh and Biscoe, I FH rolled a firebird and a trident, about 4 times I think.

Ratings update. WVO third round got capped at 997 so I'm still chasing that elusive 1k round.
On the bright side I'm up +3 to a new high of 942

Practice round at Clarkes and then Franklin. I dislike Franklin park. I shot a new PR 64 at clarkes run. I lost my favorite stable PA4 at the stupid short warm up 9 at clarkes and a D1 at Franklin.

I overdid it at WVO and my shoulder has been bothering me since. Been icing it off and on, throwing a ton last weekend was a mistake. Feeling better now.
Chill round at Spilman, no side arms allowed. Shoulder feels good.
2 Rocks
1 Comet
2 PA4
3 PA3
I'm trying a thrower PA3 in 300 plastic as a stand in for my MIA 750 PA4. The 200/350G pa3's I have have like negative glide, but this one is a pleasant surprise, flies nice and not super OS.

LoCo open, shot like hot trash at Clarkes, a 900 rated 74. Was late releasing a lot of stuff and than I started shanking my go-top comet that I need for like 4 birdies on that course. It was rough.
Shot about my rating 944 66 at Franklin, one of my least favorite courses.

I know I need to work on second shots, especially with a small walk up. With fieldwork from now on I'll probably put down a mini to build up a confidence and routine for second shots, it gets in my head right now and I squander a lot of great drives.

I tried a zone, and I don't like it too much, too OS, so the Breaker is back in. I've been enjoying throwing a 300 PA3 so that's staying in, the predator I've been super hit or miss with lately so I'm not sure how I feel about it now.

Since I hurt my ankle in late 2016 I’ve moved to many more standstill shots from fairways. This is also probably because my home course has lots of rocks and uneven terrain. Standstill forces you to engage your whole body which can then translate to smoother throws with a run up.

If the lie is mostly level I’ll use a 2 step x step where the first step is the cross. I’ll show you what I mean next time we get to play providing I remember this.

I like standstills a lot, especially if I make sure to get my feet lined up correctly so I don't miss my line that way. one or two steps just helps a ton with rhythm.

It's mostly unique to Franklin and then a couple holes at Clarkes where I need close to full power from a second shot and I flubbed those this weekend.
