Stop doing x-step.

Do Open to Closed Drill or Elephant Walk Drill. Turn backward going into plant, don't pause.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll work on doing the Open to Closed Drill and Elephant Walk Drill. I feel like I understand what I need to be doing, it's just been hard to replicate.

Amen to that. Also in Paige’s driving lesson, she said something that stuck with me. When you’re on the course, only think about sending the disc on the line. Your muscle memory will kick in and do the things. Just put the disc on the line, instead of thinking about form. (Now I need to try out her suggestion)

Proof of what one thinks they do but don't actually do. The mind is funny that way.

I just read through your entire thread (lots of nuggets that I have picked up on the way for myself) and there is one thing that I have been noticing in your throws that SW22 has not mentioned yet. Your sequence/timing is a little off when it comes to rotating into the backswing. In your latest video you can see that your butt is almost fully facing the front tee pad when your toes on your back foot touch the ground in your X-step. This is because you start to rotate into your backswing when you are on your front foot before going into the X-step. You should be starting to rotate into the backswing when you weight is all on your back foot in the X-step (going into the X-step you should be sideways), so your arm swings back at the same time when your front leg swings forward. I believe that this sequence/timing issue is causing your arm to be fully extended before your front foot plants (then when your foot plants your arm moves up, too much up) and your front foot starts to open too early. SW22 can correct me if I am wrong. Hope this helps.

I think you are right which is why sidewinder is telling me to do the elephant walk and open to close drills.

I was messing around with some drills, swinging my arms side-to-side with weight shift and realized if I leaned forward, I was pretty much skating:
