Default chief os

I have had the chief for a year now and about 2 weeks ago I picked up a chief os. I am loving the os it flies dead straight with a minimal fade. the flight difference between the chief and the os is in the high speed stability. the os has no turn just straight with fade where the chief will turn a little then fade back. with the os they increased the high speed stability with increasing the low speed over the chief. very cool disc.

I have a couple Chief's, how does the OS compare for feel/depth/etc? ... I guess a better question would be comparing side by side, what is the physical difference? ... and what plastic are yours in?

the chief os has the same top as the chief. However the bottom is that of the devil hawk (or at least very similar) so it is concaved with a bead making feel more like a mid in the hand then a putter. I find the os easier to power grip then the chief.

I have both - I'll take a picture when I get home if there isn't already one here by then.

The Chief is essentially a Wizard that was squashed down to low profile. It ended up not flying like the players expected (not enough HSS) so they used a new bottom mold to create the Chief OS. As you mentioned, it has pretty good HSS and is overall pretty straight. It reminds me of a Pro-D Zone with less fade. I haven't thrown a Ringer much but I bet it would be in the same category. Cool disc. I already have a Zone and a Wizard in my bag so I don't bag it.

I think the Chief OS is very similar to the Classic Roc. Subtle fade and solid HSS.

I've seen a couple locals use them as their primary mid and they can achieve pretty easy 300 ft. shots that don't really deviate from their line.

After looking at the PDGA specs I am now interested in the Chief OS.
I know what the various websites say for flight patterns. Now I'm more interested in hearing firsthand info.
Can anyone compare the Chief OS to the Ringer or the Stud? Those are the two low profile putters I have the most experience with.
I’m hoping for a low profile putter version of a DX Roc… good HSS, acceptable head wind resistance, and a decent little flare at the end of the flight. I’m not looking for best-in-class for each of these categories but maybe better than average. Also, I’m hoping for the same 300’ of distance I currently get from my Studs.
Is the Chief OS the disc I’m looking for? Or do I need to step up to a DevilHawk?
Thanks in advance

Chief OS is what you want.
They're definitely mini Roc like discs.

However with the flat top they're more line drive flyers than lofty Roc lines.

If you're going to get a ChiefOS, look for it in SS. Much easier to throw imo.

I don't have the power you do but my Chief OS is a shorter dx Roc and my Shaman is a shorter dx Cobra.
