This run of skulboy proton atoms feels really nice. They are tacky for proton but still firmer and not a single issue with any of the LE stamps i received. Overmold feels hard too!

Might try and toss a pair this afternoon vs my melon and soft N proxy.

That Proton looks a little softer, is it? It's been awhile since I messed with Proton, but the slick ones are hard as glass. I do have a Proton Alias coming in the mail though...fingers crossed.

Its not the hard older stuff just normal proton flex but with added grip.

Okay, thx.

My dark blue Proton Axis, ice blue Proton Tangent, and red-orange Proton Anode were hard and slick, the Anode not quite as bad. All from around early 2011. Makes sense they improve flex and grip over time.

I like the firmer proton. It's in my 23mm drivers and my vector/axis. It starts off somewhat slick but give it a good case of rug burn then hit it with the dish soap and warm water and the stuff is super tacky and grippy. The flexier stuff doesn't get that tacky feeling that the firmer stuff seasons into in my opinion.

It's been so long since I threw Proton. After those early blends I completely got away from it and just went with Neutron on everything. Really liking Plasma though, especially the pearly ones. My first try at Proton again after all this time will be a red Alias, it's on order.

It's not a huge issue for me, just a preference, but I definitely didn't like the early hard Proton. Firm is one thing, but a hard glassy feel doesn't cut it for me.

I usually soap up all my new discs to get rid of the slick release agent left over from the molding process.

pawned over some skull boy atoms yesterday. i was not going to do the atom in protron i prefer neutron. but as AIM has stated this is a great protron blend. can't wait to give this thing a toss when i pick them up. I'm vested fairly heavily in proxies so I'm not sure it'll get bagged but I'm looking forward to it on my local pitch and putts for one disc rounds.
