Was at Maple Hill yesterday, and the course looks phenomenal. Met Kevin Jones (he played hole 18 with our group) and boy...that dude can mash. Super nice guy, as well.

That whole liking, sharing, etc, to "vote" is ridiculous. Just put up a #$%^&* poll somewhere with all the entries and let everyone vote.

How is that any different that Jomez asking "How did you play today?" or "#WhichDiscWednesday".

They're just getting clever for ways to get more exposure to their social media account.

Everyone (who's successful) does it.

You like to comment about how the DGPT is bleeding money (never offering proof) and how Steve Dodge has no business sense, then you criticize a scheme that is nothing but smart business in the social media age. Likes and shares are currency on social media. The more you get, the more visible you are (and the more like/share interactions are possible). Because of facebook's stupid algorithms, it doesn't matter how many people follow your page if you aren't getting interactions with them. You could have 100,000 followers but only a few hundred of them will see any given post if your page doesn't have a high rate of interactions. The alternative to soliciting more likes/shares is to simply pay Facebook to "boost" your posts, which can get expensive.

I think they would get more votes if they just had a link to a poll for players to pick their player from. Not everyone wants to take the time to look for the official posts that has the player picture/article and then share, like, comment, etc, etc.
