Picked up a couple of FR Zeus yesterday and took them for a good test drive.

Comparing to other protos that were in the store, the PLH is lower on the FR, and was pretty consistent across all of the FR discs that I looked at.

The Zeus feels a little faster than a hurricane, at least initially. The rim feels ok, a tick more shallow than the hurricane, which might be why it appears faster. The Zeus doesn't seem to be a longer disc to me though, and doesn't seem to handle the wind quite as well as my Tour Series Hurricane. I could probably get used to it, but the difference of an additional 10' or so isn't enough of a reason for me to learn a new disc at this point.

I bought two pieces yesterday and throwed them on field today. I feeled that they were much better than protos. Feeled like destroyers. Nice little turn and realiable and healthy fade at the end. Glide was also much better than protos which were flippy or domey-os just dumb at end on a flight. I was getting them to about 360-400 to a headwind with powered control shots. I also liked that they handled headwind quite good. Nyt even single one turn and burn with slight breeze. Of course they turned little bit more, but nothing that would have surprised me. I suggest even try one, if you were disapointted to proto ones. It is not a special disc, but really good pair to with Forces.

Broke down and bought a pink swirly one when I was getting some Emperors on infinite today. Good looking disc for sure and since I’ve been disillusioned with my Kings lately I’m going to give it along with the Giant, Emperor, Destroyer and Sheriff a shot to crack that slot.

Found a pink solid color ZEUS today in 164-166g today and the plastic was a surprise. . .My KONGs are like "shiny ESP" but my ZEUS are more like Ti plastics

First test round with my 164-166g ZEUS today. . and WOW, NOW i like this disc. . the KONG 172g was nothing like this one.

This ZEUS feels and flies like a "longer Ti Vulture" for me, the top is so similar to a Vulture that i can΄t tell them apart. . and the rim on the ZEUS feels just like a wider Vulture.

Mine is solid in color and looks and feels like the new Ti plastic with a little Big-Z in it

Love the low weight ZEUS. . did not really like the 172g KONG

I need to find more sub 168g ones, this one is going in my bag as my main Distance driver

Quick question about these...

I bought a prototype Zeus a few months back, and it was soooooo overstable. Basically a Z Force. That was odd because I was told the flat ones were the flippy ones, and this one is super flat. I shelved it and went back to my Nukes.

Cue this week, and one of the first runs caught my eye and I bought it. This one is also max weight, but it is a pop top. This one flies a little less overstable than the proto, but it seems to glide like crazy. The odd part is that the PLH on the flat one is significantly (like 2mm) higher than the PLH on the pop top.

My question is, how do the flat first runs fly? Did I get a freak overstable Proto or are all the flat ones more overstable? I am now bagging both of these, but I would like a more understable one if that exists. Also wondering how weight effects these.

I feel that flat FR Zeus (I have two) flies neutral, not too overstable and not too flippy. Domey ones are overstable LS, but if you have arm to speed them up they glide great.

Yeah so it sounds the same as a Destroyer in this part, so I would want a flatter top very low dome to have the not as have such a power heavy disc.

I gotta say, I prefer the first run and big z to any of of my protos, and I was actually quite fond of my protos. The Big Z's absolutely bomb.
