I got a round in at Rockland from the reds after work today. I don’t usually work mondays but I’ll be playing the WVO this weekend! Woo hoo! I shot a 54 which achieved my expectations but still left me disappointed. I was hot through the first 7 holes but only got one deuce though “birdie boulevard.” I bounced out off the pole on a 65’ jumper over the pit of despair on hole 12 and settled for a 3. I took 2 fours on clutch corner and then chained out right side on hole 17, settling for a 3 once again.

Here’s those that played today and their stats:

-Omega AP 1.15’s: 23 putts
-Magic Sirius Omega 1.2: 9 throws (hole 12 made me sad)
-Newer Sirius Omega 1.2: 3 throws
-Mortar 1.5: 3 throws
-Star Mako3: 5 throws
-seasoned Champ Leo3: 2 throws
-Gstar TL3: 1 throw
-Star TL3: 2 throws
-Star Roadrunner: 4 throws (all backhand rollers)
-Champ Thunderbird: 1 throw
Gstar Wraith: 1 throw (I wanted the 2 on 18. didn’t get it)

My scramble game was pretty on point (that’s why the RR got 2 more rollers than usual) through 15 holes. The Leo3 let me down on hole 16. My drive was a bit out of position but I should have been able to get a look at 3 with a good forehand roller approach. I hit a tree instead, gaining only thirty-Ish feet. I did manage to hit the 38’ jumper for 4 after my slight flex forehand (again with the Leo3) caught the guardian tree near the basket.

I’m probably playing Sherando tomorrow. I’m gonna get the bag set up for PawPaw and perhaps post my setup before this weekend.

My magic Omega decided to spend some time in the pond on the Woodshed hole one long pin (on the dike: pause for laughter). Perhaps we’ll meet again in the future my mean green birdie machine.

There is no time in disc golf to mourn the loss of plastic. Mean Green will always be remembered fondly for the amazing things it did. Her replacement is a 151g first run Sirius Omega (a Star 2 ring San Marino aviar with a millennium stamp). It made the shot following the loss of greenie and its hit a couple long throw-ins over the last couple days. The best was my last hole of the WVO. I threw it in blind from about 200 out on hole 12 of the Woodshed to save a circle 3.

Ladies and gentleman, I present to you Little Magic:

Upside down, of course. Darn right handed phones.

How can you get a circle 3 on Hole 12 on the Woodshed? Lefty griplock all the way to the road?

That's exactly it. I was a witness to the drive, it was quite a shot.

Yep. I threw it in from the telephone pole on 18. I doubt anyone else has taken a circle 3 there before.

Made my third trip to Clark’s Run today and took the boy with me for his first. He particularly enjoyed the new smells and water hazards.

I managed a 32 on the front and 31 on the back. Could’ve been better but I’m not complaining. Little magic, my mako3 and my TL3’s got a workout.

Highlights:
I deuced 6
I took a 4 on 8
I took a 3 on 15
