Default Jomez tour

Can Jomez run their own tour? I think the algorithm will continue pushing Jomez videos over videos on the Disc Golf Pro Tour channel. Would the pros play a Jomez tournament over a DGPT tournament? I think they would because that exposure would help them sell their discs.

They totally could. CCDG + Jomez would be a powerful combination too.

If I hit the lottery, I'd even fund it.

Now where is the lottery located so I can knock it over?

I think the better question is...should they? Is developing another pro tour healthy for the game? Where is the AM side left in this quest? Does the average disc golfer care where production of video is coming from? Keeping in mind that DGCR is probably not the average disc golfer.....nor are the players on any of these tours.

Jomez is filming with Brodie Smith which means they will get a lot more subscribers. I don’t understand why Steve Dodge doesn’t want this audience watching his tournaments?

Without the a sponsor paying for AM coverage they will be left in the dust. Jomez, CCDG, Smashboxx, etc all gotta eat.

There is little coverage of AM ball golf events. There is little coverage of AM football events (NCAA is NOT amateur). It's the way of the world we live in.

Pro Growth isn't the only way to grow the sport but it is an effective way to grow media attention.

I don't think Jomez would need to "run" a tour. They could probably just hustle their way through a good schedule and get some eyeballs on lesser-known events. That would be their version of a tour, which is more like a band playing a variety of venues, than the DGPT or PDGA version, which is a set of intertwined events that have branding, points series, etc.

Great point... jomez should start covering Rec cards from around the country. It will be the Jomez Chump Tour. The view counts will shoot through the roof.

They have kind of been doing that with their final 9 series.

Cory and Ian have licensed the use of Chump I believe

It could be the Nomez tour. They've already got the graphics.

With an occasional exception the pros are going to play where the money is as long as the travel to get there is doable.
