Default Infinite Discs Ruin

New Midrange from Infinite. I'm curious what molds this was Frankenstein'd off of.

Max Weight: 180.9gr
Diameter: 21.8cm
Height: 1.8cm
Rim Depth: 1.4cm
Rim Thickness: 1.3cm
Inside Rim Diameter: 19.1cm
Rim Depth / Diameter Ratio: 6.4%
Rim Configuration: 49.25
Flexibility: 7.73kg

Based off of specs alone, it looks similar to the Lion. Anyone have any testers yet?

Is the Lion bottom a V-Tech? Or something else?

It is. If this new disc is in fact a RocX3 top and Lion bottom, wouldn't that be very similar to the Ra?

Also extremely similar to the Tomb, as I'd heard that the Tomb was a Rat top with a V-tech bottom. (If that's not the case, I'll gladly hear a correction.) The Tomb flies a lot like the Stud, but has a more reliable fade.

So if the Ruin is indeed a RocX3 married to a V-tech bottom, then yes, I'd expect it to fly similarly to a Ra, but it (the Ruin) may have a bit more fade at the end.

Not sure about that. Lion feels much shallower than either of those.

Hey guys a couple of things:

First off, that measurement for diameter is very funky. The Ruin is not the Diameter of the Ra, it's actually a small diameter mid/putt approach disc. It's about the diameter of a Tomb, closer to 21.2 cm. The intention of this mold was to create the overstable approach disc that everybody wants from Innova -- a Harp / Zone of the Innova variety, and I think it worked.

As you all know, most of our molds are combos/variations/resurrections of old Innova molds, we're not really supposed to say what, though. (Though you guys have most of them all figured out, and that's fine!) With this mold, there's an entirely new part that we had manufactured. The disc rim shape is unlike anything else from Innova, and it worked!

The Ruin is overstable! It's more overstable than an AviarX3, Mortar, or any small Diameter mid/approach from Innova so far. I'll try to put up a video I made for our team a little bit ago. Our team has these discs and are really loving them! Let me go upload that video to YouTube so I can link it here. I think you guys are really going to like this disc!

So on further looking, I think the specs for the PDGA approval are wrong, I'll have to go check on that. The max weight for this disc will be 175g as well.

Here's a video showing the rim profile and some throws by am/pro players.

Sounds interesting. More OS that the AvX3? Sounds good. BTW, I don't consider the Harp to be in the OS class of the Zone (though the Harp is overstable, so it'll be interesting to see if the Ruin is more like the Harp or the Zone...
