Default I saw this in a dream

I had a dream a while back, and in the dream I came up with this idea. I told my wife about it, and she said I had lost my mind.Let me run this by you:

In my dream, I was playing disc golf, and one of the holes , had a basket, hanging from a cable. The basket was about 30-50 feet in the air. You would take you shot, and once you made it in the basket, there was a crank that would lower the basket down on the cable so you could get your disc, and then crank it back up , for the next group of players. Kind of like raising and lowering a flag on a flag pole.

I am not a great artist, but I did my best to draw my idea on the computer so you can get a visual of what I am talking about:

Let me know what you all think.

I think it looks like an expensive gimmick hole that most serious players wouldn't like. Nobody practices putting 20+' straight up in the air. It's not a hole that would provide a reasonable scoring spread based on player skill. Also, if you're just leaving the basket in the air you don't really need the base on it.

Don't listen to anybody. You make your crazy dream come true.

I also would like to see some animatronics at your trippy dippy disc golf land.

Well, since it was a dream, it was my subconscious that came up with that, and not my common sense side of the brain.

I had a similar dream but instead of a dangling basket it was just a large basket about 8' wide but with all other dimensions the same. It was on a 100' hole. There were so many names sharpied on it that it was black and people had started using silver sharpie to mark aces over the top of the black. In my dream I overthrew the basket by 100' and went into a snake infested murky creek.

Well, I saw a thing on youtube once where they had a basket hanging from a crane. I guess thats where the idea got planted in my head.

i think it would be a cool idea if it was in a valley. so the basket is even with the ridgeline but if you miss your screwed because you have to shoot 30' in the air. it would defiantly make you remember the course though.

Since we're talking about disc golf dreams...I had a very weird one.

I was playing a local course but failed to realize that they had made some changes to hole 7- where there used to be a set of woods and a carousel (yes, it's Burke Lake, home of the legendary carousel music), there was now a shallow pond with the basket located on a very narrow dyke. So of course my normal tee off ended up in the water.

Weird how I failed to notice a huge pond where the fairway used to be, but I guess that's what makes it a dream lol.
