No the augusta and Teebird aren't the same.
The teebird is a special blend that is somewhat opaque but not pearly, and has a softer kind of feel then the candy 11x kc pro. It also says STB on the back to indicate as such.

Yea i remember dgv was selling those beauties a while back and labeled them as a special blend. Id contact mark at dgv cali maybe he can shed more light

The augusta is not the same plastic,just the pigment blueberry in champ

Chase Roberts of Iron Lion has asked a lot about them, and I think they are indeed special blend. He's on the PDGA board and posts regularly in the Collecting Discs thread.

Special blend was the precursor to star plastic. The first one looks like it is a champion. I think the stb just stands for star teebird. I have a star teebird that I got in So Cal in 2005 that is marked the same. It is definitely a different feel than my other star plastic though.

11X KC Pro candy plastic is a lot older than Star.

I kid you not, the plastic on the Wraith and the Teebird are IDENTICAL.

They are exactly the same in every way, visibly and feel wise.
