Heck yeah Barry! When is Mark Ellis going to be inducted? Or is he already?

I'm still waiting for Chuck to nominate me.

Then when I get in I can nominate Mark Ellis!

If my memory serves me right, Barry is now the third member who is in based on mainly his play (Ken and Juliana).

Yes, you could argue many others got in because they were good players, but to get in solely on play is super special.

Wouldn't you consider Greenwell's induction based on play as well?

I dream of being in the Hall of Fame one day. Unfortunately I have no clue on how to get there other than playing disc golf every day until I die.

At the time they got in the HOF, there were a few others who were inducted primarily on their championship accomplishments like Vanessa Chambers, David Greenwell, Tom Monroe, Johnny Roberts and Johnny Sias. We should probably have more by now. But with long careers possible in the sport, when is the right time to consider those who are primarily players for induction? Barry is coming in at the typical point in other sports when a player has retired or moved on from Open to an older division for at least 3-5 years and their accomplishments in Open can be considered.

Based on those in the HOF, contributing in some other significant way in addition to playing well is the well worn path so far.

I am well aware of this. I play the lottery on every drawing. Hopefully I will be able to make some contribution in the future.
