Default Disc Golf Bag as a Carry On Bag?

I'm sure plenty of you have flown with your dg backpacks but just wanted to make sure it was cool as a carry on or if you generally go checked bag. I really don't want to check my bag so if it doesn't work then I will take a smaller pack. For reference I am hoping to take a Innova Hero Pack.
Thanks

I have carried on my Grip B Series more than once. It did have to get tested going through security because there was fertilizer detected on it. And be prepared for many "that's a lot of frisbees" comments.

you have 45 linear inches for max size,so not a problem. As a general rule, I limit my carry-ons to what underneath of the seat space. Usually that's about 18 wide x 18ish deep x 11 high.
Flew with a voodoo juju on my last flight.

My Voodoo Zulu (their most gigantic bag) fits as a carryon. It's been my main suitcase for years now. I can fit like a months worth of clothes in that thing.

I have flown with my Gateway Tournament bag and backpack straps many times. Just used the side pockets for my other usual travel gear. Book, music, headphones....
I have been stopped and questioned by TSA a couple times though. If going through security and they have never heard of the game, they are baffled by your bag of dinner plates. Some friendly explanation is all that way required though. In the end, they are more curious than concerned.

Traveled with a Voodoo Mojo and Juju and Grip C series numerous times through large airports and they all fit under the seat. I have had TSA Precheck for years so not sure about scrutiny with discs but I always open my bag and tell the agent what the discs are. I got pulled out of line when an agent thought they were dishes once and another freaked out about a glow disc once. If you are going through a small airport, be prepared to be stopped. TSA in small airports scrutinize anything they are are not familiar with which I guess is because they are bored so be prepared to explain. E.g., I have been through every airport in NYC and DC and Chicago, Atlanta and Charlotte over the past couple of years numerous times with a license that has the laminating tape coming off in a section and the small airport I am currently flying home out of has spent 10 minutes at one point reviewing my license. I am scared to bring discs through that airport as they would most likely take them.

I've flown with a packed Mahal and with my Octothorpe. Both were fine as carryon.

I used to carry my bag on, now I just check it. I've only had TSA pull it off the belt once for extra inspection.
