Default disc golf bag and discs as carry on?

so I'm going on a trip back to Ohio the land of the Great
I was wondering has anyone ever used their dg bag as their carryon? any problems with this at all?
I wouldn't think there would be a problem, but with the way people are I could just see them saying the discs or the straps are dangerous?
I could just be over thinking it.
Probably safe to just put them in luggage, but I don't want to let my pretties out of my sight

You can carry them on, but be prepared to have them go through your bag extensively, and get a lot of stupid questions and looks.

My son and I went to Cal 3 weeks ago. Both of us took our bags as carryons. No questions asked on either trip. With the extra pockets, it actually made for a good carryon.
