Default World's 2020 - What if not June in Ogden, UT?

It has already been reported that the US Open golf major will not be played at Winged Foot as scheduled in June, the same weekend as Worlds are scheduled in Utah.

If Worlds is postponed (I'm guessing better than 50/50 chance of this).

1. Would it be played later in the season at Ogden even though the tour by late Summer/Fall will be in the Northeast?

2. What would be the logical full week in a busy schedule (I'm guessing no earlier than mid-August)?

3. It would be difficult to last minute find a new place to host such a big tournament. Might a tourney like Green Mountain which is later in the year, has hosted Worlds and is capable of doing so again, be considered a possibility to host Worlds again rather than GMC in September?

4. Any other options?

I suggest there are far too many variables to even speculate. I understand this being a disc golf forum and all, but I am not sure I have the ability to focus on such matters, at this point.

I feel confident that the PDGA is in constant communication with each other and the necessary TD's and sponsors. I am also pretty sure they will let us know, as soon as any decisions are finalized.

I personally believe we are done for the season. I expect a very rough COVID winter and am hoping by late next spring some parts of our lives will return to normal.

The Upshot already solved this. The proposal was basically to change the Green Mountain Championship to Worlds. Just need the buy-in from the key decision makers.

I don't see how any group sport can start up again until a vaccine is in circulation.

What if we've bought enough time for therapeutics to be developed, that can reduce it from deadly to miserable? My money's on that, before a vaccine.

That said, if I had to guess, I'd guess that Worlds won't happen. And that if they were rescheduled and moved, it might be to the IDGC.

I agree that's the medical progression that will take place, we're making great strides for sure, but I'm thinking group sports won't be back in action until a vaccine is ready due to financial liability plus public panic, etc. I think the virus in the USA is at a turning point which will tell us everything we need to know in the next 2-4 weeks. man...not much of a praying man in the past, but I've sure kicked it up a notch lately.

GMC becoming Worlds again wouldn't be the worst thing, except that I may just have to find a 5 day house rental near there. If this does become a thing, and I'm rated 900 by then (might be a stretch, but it depends on when the PDGA sanctioning resumes) I'll try to play, even if if means I'll probably finish dead last.

And/or until 60-80% of the population has had and recovered from the virus. Every timeline I've seen says it's going to be 12-18 months before that happens and I don't see the PDGA resuming sanctioning until then. I've concluded that there will be no sanctioned disc golf this year. Those who disagree are engaged in wishful thinking and will be disappointed.
