a bump...playing today i was throwing some drivers...guy sitting by the tee said he had a driver he couldnt throw at all but looked like i could probably throw it...brand new 175 champ daedalus tye dye..i said sure i will take it....got a long straight nice flight...not much turn...very solid...not what i ecpected...i was happy to put it in my bag...

I think a lot of "flippy" molds are surprisingly good with adequate high speed stability, especially in heavy weights and premium plastics.

I agree. The Daedalus can be a decent mold. I've thrown a few good champion ones. In G* they get really finicky though. The Daedalus works great in calm or downwind conditions. Anything upwind it's going to flip.

That said, I still think the Shryke pretty much obsoleted the Daedalus. The Shryke does all the same things the Daedalus does, but better.
