REI sells discs too, so you shouldn't need to bring your discs into the store. Just try it out with the ones they're selling there. Depending on the size of the store, you should see a variety of packs. Once you see what kind of pack can fit discs, look at the size guides on the pack to see how big a dog it's designed for. This might help you pick a dog, though if I were you, I'd get the right dog, and modify the pack to fit him.

By the way, the red Kelty Chuckwagon bags are smaller than they look on the website. The Outdoor Products bags have more volume, but in my personal opinion, the Kelty model is better made. Campmor is a good place to shop for gear, but I wouldn't buy a backpack online (for me or my dog) until I've had the chance to try it on in RL.

I bought an Outward Hound brand saddle bag for my dog last spring for DGing. The large size (my dog is Newfie/Bernese Mtn cross, and checks in @ 120 pounds) holds at least half a dozen discs on each side, and has a bungie cord criss-crossing the dogs back that works great for holding my putter.

Some REI's sell discs. I looked at my local one here in San Diego and asked the staff, got a funny look.

I get a lot of funny looks when I mention disc golf. When I wear my innova disc golf shirt people think it's a joke. The hospital system around here is called Inova so people think it's about that but spelled wrong.
