Especially admitting having thrown NEITHER of the discs in question. I personally haven't thrown a Criminal or Machete. Thus, I won't even begin to speculate on whether I like them or not.

I found an ESP Machete that was too pretty to pass up. It's definitely more beef that the Criminal I've been using. In fairness, I traded for the Criminal- so I've never thrown a fresh one. But the one I have goes dead straight for awhile before starting its big fade. The Machete needs anhyzer to get to the same place, or it just wants to start fading almost right away.

Makes me think the Criminal might be a special disc. It really just locks into an absolutely straight line with no hint of turn and gets downrange, with a big, dependable fade/skip at the end.

I have thrown both of these discs, but only a handful of times. The criminal used to be a staple in my bag purely for utility or trouble shots, and big hyzer shots when I needed it to sit down well. As far as the machete, its a faster and very OS disc that I don't quite have the arm to utilize. However, the ESP plastic feels great in the hand. IMO, both of these discs will do what it looks like you want, its just going to come down to which plastic you prefer, and which one feels better in your hand
