Default P3 and Classic Roc

Hoi,

the P3 is my main short disc. I putt with it, I approach with it, I drive with it. As I don't carry midranges, the P3 does the midrange work as well. It has a lot of HSS and keeps it. The fade of about 2 wears quickly in D-Line down to 1, then stays at that level for quite some time. I use P3s for just about everything.

Recently I saw some video where someone talked about the Classic Roc in just about the same way I talk about the P3. I had a look at the measurements of the discs and they are quite similar. I've never thrown a Classic Roc though.

Can someone describe their differences and similarities.

Is one of these discs as crucial to your bag as well?

not sure but i think the classic roc has the bead and the p3 doesnt. always assumed the p3 was the classic roc top with the xd bottom but they have tweaked the p3 once and shamfully i admit to not ever owning one

Classic Roc is beaded. It's a swiss army knife kind of disc in my bag for either fh or bh throws that need to hold a line and have a slight finish.

I throw the p3 and love it—The Classic roc ive only seen/handled once but I remember it having a deeper rim on the inside and a more blunt wing. I don’t throw (large diameter) mids either and agree the p3 does a pretty good job in that role.

you are just a bad person for not carrying mids. you're missing the best years of your life. repent now while you still have time.

I think the P3 is a little beefier and (by association) a little shorter than the Classic Roc was. The Classic Roc had a little more glide and not as much fade. For my weenie arm the P3 is a bit too much beef where the Classic Roc was a pretty workable long putter/short mid tweener.
