Have you considered an S-Line FD? IMO they're exactly the flight shape that you're looking for.

The Mav flies more like a nice stable TL or TD to me. It will fade back a little bit if there's enough hang time. I have no idea how it will beat in though. Probably into a nicely consistent turnover driver.

Yeah, that is what I have heard as well, the thing is that as soon as you put a little more power on the River, it won't come back at all. So hoping the Maverick will be a little more trustworthy.

Just ordered two opto Mavericks, hopefully I get those this week and can try them out 😁

Yeah FD where one of my first discs and I really liked them then. But then I switched to the River for some reason.

I like the hand feel of the Maverick better. The Maverick also seems to turn later than a river. If you want fade try and grab a lucid-x they should be out soon.

I would....For me the opto-x River is used to laser straight shots down tight fairways. I like the maverick for turnover drivers, and I love that it holds its stability for a while before it begins to turn to the right. I think both discs are useful in their own way though definitely, and i bag both.

FDs are a staple in my bag, they have a lot more hss than the river or maverick. I have a p line fd that is heading that direction but still more stable. I find FDs are better for tunnels and gentle hysers, control type shots. But I don’t use them for turn overs.

I hear the Escape is an awesome disc which is close to what you're looking for. Gold Line Rivers.....glad I got 3 of them.

Escapes are quite a bit faster than any of the other discs in discussion. I bag Escapes and love them, but I don't think they're quite what the OP is looking for.
