Finally got a round in today (1/6). We have over 100 inches of snow with roughly 20" on the ground so it was a bit of a grind. Knee deep snow affects the run up a little.

Played my 1st round of the year, and my 1st in a few months. Putter only round on the local schools cute little pitch n putt. Went +4. Not great. Played with a putter I don't know well yet.

Was just thankful to play a round of dg in January in Wisconsin in jeans and uninsulated hiking shoes. No snow to worry about. Lots of patches of glare ice tho. It was weird to see my particle take a big 45' flare skip lol

Played leagues in Milwaukee at Dretzka Winter after 11 days of rest to let the sore back heal a little. Started out a little rough as the back was barking. About 4 holes in the back felt better as I focused on good form and not concerned about longer holes. To my amazement, parked 2 holes over 400 feet and got a downhill skip ace on a 300 foot hole. Our card recorded two aces and I shot my best round of the short new year. -17 on 27 holes, will be tough to match. Went into the morning not too confident and left super proud. My goal was to putt each night after work for 20 minutes, well life happens and I have only been putting every other day. Results were positive and the putter has been really good thus far. Still want to try a JC aviar as my 12x is as hard as a rock.

First round involved exploring all the space of the course: the trees, the thorns, the sand, the road, the water. It was ping-pong golf and then some.

Played a mixed doubles tournament round with the Mrs. Saturday in the middle of a snowstorm that dumped 9". My first time playing in more than 2" of snow. Lost my P-FD in the middle of the fairway. Was missing 30-40' off my driving distance, and missing 20' putts. It turns out it's really hard to play disc golf in Timberland boots. Who knew?

Got 9 in today while in Wausau at Yellowbanks - first round I've ever played in January (I'm not a huge winter dg fan). And I think I unintentionally created a combo sport - disc golf/ice skating. The entire course was like an ice rink.

Had no grip on the tees, no power or stability in my stance, which translated into awful drives, missed putts slid away like hockey pucks, all the way down hills, had 2 discs on the river (was able to get em' out since the ice was solid enough) and one on the frozen pond. Rough time, finished 10 over par. Was really nice to actually get out and throw though.
