I said it earlier in the thread but I think if he gets a few tips and maybe an hour of field work and putting he'll be around 900. Maybe I'm way off though.

Well... if he is serious, there are plenty of events in Texas the next 2 weekends. I will hold my guess till we see what course he plays on. I would imagine it will mostly depend on how he putts...

The disc golf audience isn't big enough for him. His first and probably only pdga event will be good fodder for his followers. That video was made a year ago, perhaps he has practiced since then in anticipation of playing his 1st event. If not, I don't see him shooting above 900.

I think the logical outcomes of Brodie's foray into disc golf will be:

1.) It's not worth the time and resources that would be required to get really good at disc golf. Obviously he has great throwing skills, but there is still a looooong learning curve for shot consistency and course management. If he was driven enough he could probably reach the 99th percentile of disc golf skill, but it would not be worthwhile when you look at the financial and social benefits of being in the 99th percentile of disc golf skill. He maybe plays some local tourneys for fun, but I doubt we see Brodie breaking into the elite tier of touring pros.

2.) He increasingly sees disc golf equipment as a means to extend his trick shot repertoire. This has already happened but I expect to see more of it; it's natural growth territory based on his previous methods of success. As a result he probably gets a boost to his view counts from the disc golf crowd. We may also see an increased interest in frolf from Avowed Bros who have little understanding of how disc golf gameplay traditionally works.

I prefer the simple version:

1. He enjoyed his round with Paul Simon.

2. He wants to play more.

they could flick a beat dx aviar or bh it 300 feet all arm on a rope in the wind

it really would be good enough to take intermediate division

...Ultrastars are PDGA approved...
Give an ulti player a leopard-like driver, an ultra star for 150-200 and in and a beat to understable putter and they’re gonna rock it.

UltraStars are in the Super Class category. In Super Class competitions, the slightly smaller Zephyr and Jr Ultimate discs (24 cm) tended to do better than the UltraStar (27 cm). So if Ulti players want to try DG, they might do well to try those other two discs.
