I don't care if it's public or private, as long as the course is good. |

Or in a prison or other restricted institution. Also, courses that serve as perks for government employees only.

Intel in Hillsboro OR is "private, never open to the public". And Kessler AFB in Biloxi Ms is "public, never open to the public"(though you can get a round in if accompanied by Intel or AFB personnel, respectively).

Probably a ton of "private, never open to the public" courses.
It was the "public, never open to the public" that had me stumped, initially. |

There's also "private, indiscernible by the public", as in a buddy's 27 holes of tone poles that he keeps unlisted to prevent being overrun by course baggers/chuckers every weekend. If you can find the disc store in La Grande, you can probably get a round in with a local.

I say it doesn't matter so long as the course is good.
Then I think about my favorites, and each of my personal top 5 are private, so what do I know? (Harmon Hills, Stoney Hill, Flyboy Hill, Holler in the Hills, BlackJack Hill) |

Im torn because I love P2P because it usually means less vandals, better upkeep, etc. Buuuut the free to play public courses draw so many people to the sport and make it so accessible, so I cant really decide.

Just kidding buddy ![]() I agree with "as long as its a good course" like a few of you have stated. I've only played 3 private courses and prefer to play them on special occasions rather than on the reg. But, I'm kinda bias on that since I own a private course. Don't get me wrong, its an awesome course and place to live but I kinda get trapped there because I need to be there when most people want to play it. There's a ton of courses I want to play but never have the time since I gotta make sure to maintain mine first before I go and play somewhere else. Blessing and a curse. I don't even have time to practice or play my own course most of the year |
