Default Sinnissippi in Sterling IL

I just played Sinnissippi Park course in Sterling yesterday and had trouble finding the newest holes that were added. Played 19 & 20 but couldn't find 21,22 or 23. Someone from IL that had played these holes please help. Want to play the complete 24 holes. Where the heck are the holes I couldn't find???

It's been a few years since I played those holes; but I believe they were a lot closer to the river... kinda like if you played hole 1; they would be on your right and down more? Maybe a lot more right?

Sorry, I know that's a bad description, and may not even be right, but that's what I recall.

Maybe more down closer to the walking/bike path? Could be, that's one place I didn't check

21, 22 and 23 play along the south side of the park road along the drop off between the road and the river. From the tee for 1 or 20, this would be to your right.

Easy way to navigate would be to follow the direction of the red arrows on each tee sign which have 'Next Tee' printed beneath them.

We found 19 & 20 but got lost from there. Didn't even think about going down lower to look for 21, 22 & 23. We saw that 24 was back up top. Was pretty tired after maneuvering around the first 20 holes.

Finally found them all. Hole #23 is especially challenging.

I think this course is vastly over rated, the first 8 are great, but the other holes are at best mediocre. It's rating is not warranted.

Sinnissippi is like a few 90's-type courses. Back in the day when we were all throwing Vipers as our longest discs, they were the best course around. 20 years later and they are not the best around anymore, but they hold a high reputation because of their history and what they used to be. Sioux Passage in St. Louis is another course like that; 20 years ago it was a top-25 in the country course. It's not anymore, but it still holds a very high reputation among the locals. I give them a pass on being overrated because of that.

That makes sense me and a buddy figured it was older, and now that's confirmed it is understandable why the rating is so high, sort of like west park in Joliet
