I've kept an Eagle X in the bag on and off for a decade, but never tried an Eagle L until yesterday. I've been aware of it's existence for a few years, however, I've never seen one being thrown in the wild. Smooth glide, subtle turn, and patented eagle fade, it's quite majestic. I really like my new Champ E.L., it's like having an E.X. broken into it's sweet spot right out of the box! Between my E.X. , E.L. , and Lep I'm confident I've got any fairway shot covered. I'm very surprised more people don't talk about this disc.

E.L. throwers, do you prefer g*star or champ??? Why???

Blast from the past thread! The Eagle was my first disc purchase ever and I still love them. I always have 2 X's and 2 L's in my bag:

CE Eagle-X - 6/10 - Small turns, annys, predictable fade
11X Champ Eagle-X - 8/10 - Straight as an arrow with the classic fade, or can do big hyzers
11X Champ Eagle-L - 6/10 - Big early turner, no fade on most shots
11X Champ Eagle-L - 8/10 - Medium turn, can hold the turn with a little fade at the end

I have 23 X's and 16 L's all in 11X Champion plastic. I hoarded them when I started but it turns out that I don't lose them lol.

Well now I'm confused. The front of my Star Eagle has 7 4 -1 3 listed, but the back has a *E on the back and not S-EX. Do I have an L? It would explain why it is so good on straight shots.

Like most topics on DGCR, it has already been addressed. A lot.

Yeah, but the only sure fire way to identify them is the wing differences shown in the second post of the linked thread. Don't trust factory markings or anything else, just look at the wings.

Just held the disc up the screen to match and it looks like I have an Eagle L. I am getting good use out of it (hit metal on 320" straight-on drive), but I will be picking up an Eagle X in Star on my next purchase.
