They didn't have JL plastic back in the glory days of 2004.

I've been throwing a newer run Shark3 for a few weeks. My impression is that they've likely been tamed a little bit. Mine has a subtle dome and isn't as high speed overstable as everyone claims. It's safe to say they're just as fuggly feeling in my hand as rumored, though

Is it still stable enough for the Roc3 spot or is it somewhere inbetween that and the Mako3?

Acutally it is like a Beadles ROC as the top on January 2018 when I got mine was like a nearly flat mini dome to flat ROC, not a ROC 3. I did notice the disc is way flatter then the Shark especially in the Star plastic. Not 100% on the Flight as it has been too cold to play Disc Golf where I live but it flies like a slightly OS Buzz but not the true OS Buzz.

I just used my Shark 3 both 176 gram discs in a round on 4/29/2018. They are not as overstable as the first runs people posted about on here. They fly like a low dome ROC would fly but definitely not a ROC 3. I Used the disc in Spots a Shark would not work, the Shark is slower not used as a true midrange shot in my bag. My high dome Star Shark 174 grams is more overstable then the Shark 3 is and most Sharks not Star would be vary slightly more overstable then a Shark 3. My Pro Shark 174 grams is only slightly more overstable then the Shark 3.

They aren't bad discs at all, I just prefer the feel of the Roc3.

The Shark3 is similar in feel to a buzzz, but more stable.

I have a newer run Shark 3 and they fly exactly like a low dome premium plastic ROC, not a ROC 3 unless it is DX plastic. Closest the newer Runs of Shark fly like is the old Champion Shark if you had a low dome. Now both Star and G Star Shark the plastic other then the Shark in DX are made with a high dome almost like a Rubber Putter shape. They are more stable then a Buzz but are definitely not a Buzz OS. It is like having the old oop Buzz GT if you had the chance to use such a disc, a bit more stable then a Buzz like it cuts the wind just a bit more.
