Default Why're McPro's so expensive

I was thinking about getting a McPro Aviar to try out. I love putting with the Warden's from DD, but I also like to experiment and try out discs so I thought about getting one, until I saw that it was going to cost me anywhere from 20-24$. So my question is, why the heck are these discs so expensive?

You can get the new one from the Proshop for 14 bucks. Spend 75 to get free shipping though.

If you like trying new discs that are similar shape to the beadless aviar, try a warlock
Tons of plastic blends and they're "un-cool" if you like to be a hipster hahah

Whew, avoided the hipster label by throwing Warlocks since before they were un-cool.

But yeah, jcass has a good point, a Soft or Medium Warlock will definitely suffice as a cheap alternative for a McPro Aviar.

I will look into the warlock..I don't wanna spend 75$ on proshop because I am cash light right now(broke college student). and that's my point. If I wanted to buy one mcpro, shipping is huge. Buy one on ebay? they run pretty high too

I practice with Discmania - P P2's when I don't want to put the extra wear on my McPro's

The DD Warden is pretty darn close as well, but the McPro's don't like to share the bag with them

Why're McPro's so expensive?

Because he's a BEAST!

Oh yeah, and Paul will receive a substantial portion of every McPro Aviar sold.

Not when they're sold on eBay or through a 3rd party like a retailer. I think that's the point of the question. eBay sellers generally probably bought from the Innova factory store and want to make a profit and so they mark up the discs. My guess on retailers is that they can't buy the fundraiser discs like this from Innova at wholesale prices, so they have to pay the same factory store prices that everyone else does. Thus in order to make any margin on them, they have to mark them up just like the sellers on eBay. All these guys are depending on the fact that most people either don't know about the Innova factory store or else don't want to pay the shipping charges the factory store charges for 1 or 2 discs.
