I had a conversation with the tyrant-in-charge of Pioneer Trail Park in Escanaba this morning. He said the baskets WILL

Stupid website has a 5 minute limit for editing. So anyway, I talked to the man in charge and he said the baskets will stay in this winter, and we will also be able to use the parking lot at the front gate. Also, they will be removing some dead trees this fall, and some baskets may be removed temporarily to prevent damage. The big pine on 11 will be gone along with a few more standing dead white pines and all the beech trees will be taken out because of insect infestation.

Fund raising has started for the Eric McCabe-designed Gladstone Disc Golf Park. They need 25 grand by Oct. 5 to get matching funds from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Thirty days isn't much time, probably should have started a little sooner.

Just came to post the same link in this thread, but glad to see that you already have it up. I'm going go ahead and give it it's own thread because we're going to need all the help we can get and I'm only slightly concerned about forum content redundancy.

Call me a masochist but I am running another tournament to raise more money for new tees and signs for the new course configuration at Lake Township Park in Bridgman:

Teeing off for Tees

Please seriously consider participating or donating. Thanks!

River Park Article in the Herald Palladium

Great article on the new course in Benton Harbor. Everything sans tees will be in on 9/23. Temporary toe-kicks will be installed as far as I know. From noon to 3pm on 9/23 we are going to hold newbie clinic(s) and show people around the course. If you have time we would certainly welcome any and all experienced dg'ers to help out with that. Also, if you have any lightly used or new discs to give away for the newbies that would be great as well. Thanks!

Looks like NorthRidge Church has been busy putting in some cement teepads on a few of the back 9 holes. Some are exactly where the original tee was & some a few feet (40' to 60') behind the original. Very large tee pads, too.

Great course. Tees aren't in yet but it's still a great course!

Getting tired of hearing from me in this thread yet? Yeah well too bad there's more lol...

Anyways, Lake Township is FINALLY getting the upgrades it so desperately needs. So Saturday at 10am a bunch of us are getting together to move 14 baskets to new homes. 4 basket positions are going to remain the same. We're also going to bunch of brush clearing and the like. If you can help let me know and I can provide more details. Thanks!

Almost all baskets pulled at LTP. All sleeves for the new locations are now in along with all the temporary toe-kicks. Baskets should be in their new locations tomorrow.

Not many locals showed up to help. I swear the first of those no-shows that complains about the layout is going to get punched right in the face.
