I'm opposite. My snap is from fan gripping mids and putters. Silent release with power grip and most fan grip drivers. It's some sort of pinky snap and I know it's bad, but it's what happens and putter throws are one of my bigger strengths so I have not given it much thought. Plus it's nice to here AMs say, "dude, you have a ton of snap" when they hear it, and I'm all like, "Yes, yes I do."

His teaching continues to get more brilliant. As the truth is told and spread we'll see much better technique across the spectrum of throwers from rec to advanced.

Snap is the result of a very loose grip, most likely a fan grip. I have a friend that uses fan grip on everything, including his high speed drivers, and the snap is always loud. He doesn't throw all that far but is very accurate. I use more of a power grip with drivers and I never get the snap sound, but I use a fan grip on mids and putters get a nice loud pop.

I only watched the first half. What was the purpose of the two-disc contraption? Is it to get a better feel for leverage?

At the beginning of the clinic he asked a guy to put away his phone because he was recording. He said something about sponsors or something like that and that it would be posted online. Maybe the sponsors pulled it?

I'm bummed that this is gone. It was well presented and made sense to me. I had it bookmarked and I was going to watch it a couple more times this winter and keep it in mind in the spring.

I hope it pops back up again.

Only watched it briefly, but from what I remember he said it exaggerated things - throw nose up and it'll rise into the air noticeably, throw off line/with OAT and the wobble was bad, etc. He said it was hard to throw it smooth and straight, he does in the video, and comments that he usually doesn't.

He uses it instead of golf clubs, umbrellas, or other long things he might have used in previous clinics - see the video below (around 25min in) where he does this. I believe its the same concept.
