It's lines like that that escalate the debate. If we keep our broad generalizations inflammatory statements limited, we'll go a long way to better discussion.

I personally love the Yeti-style putters, of which my puddle-top Ions are great. I fully recognize this may not be ideal for everyone, so I'm not going to argue that it is.

Picking on puddle-tops and the players that use them is more an indictment on them than on us happy users.

Stop the puddle-top bullying! We are a better society than all that noise!

i own yetis, they are not like my puddle top soft neutron ion, your comparing two different things. My soft neutron ion sunk half way down the depth of the disc in a matter of 2-3 weeks.. this isnt a slight shoulder or little puddle top, this is massive deformation makng it a completely different disc and imposible to even putt level with... and what started this whole discussion was someone saying they wish they made soft neutron standard and i said it was a bad idea because of the puddle top issue i discovered. now everyone is getting a hard on to defend MVP soft puddle tops.

luckily i sold it for $7 otherwise i would take pictures, you could probably eat a bowl of cereal out of it.

All this puddle top talk is hilarious.

My first ever Ion, a medium Proton, has seen heavy use for more than a year now. The tooling is worn off the overmold, and it is slightly puddle topped. It feels so good in the hand and still flies just like it should. It's still the slightly more overstable disc with slightly less glide that makes a great complement to my other driving putter, the Anode.

I have a soft Proton Anode, and it is slightly puddle topped as well, but I don't mind (it hasn't been in the bag since the day Neutron Anodes came out). I putt with a medium Neutron Ion too, maybe ever so slightly puddle topped, and I have no problem hitting my putts.

These discs are prone to puddle topping, but it sounds like you got a lemon in4d.

Us puddle toppers seem to have clip-clopped over the wrong bridge

man all this time i've been using ions with sunken flight plates with great success. i've watched my friends do the same, and even seen similar discs perform well on video. but i guess its time i forget all that because in4d says so. he has really swayed me on this one. i cant lie, id like to be a world class disc golf competitor and if such a simple thing can help im all for it.
