We really enjoyed the Brookgreen Gardens and what a great place that would be for a course.
Hunnington Beach state park across the street used to have a course, until Hugo took it out. The Baskets are now at Earlwood. Brookgreen would be an unbelievable place for a course!

The off season is great. Myrtle Beach reverts back into being a normal town. ...sorta! We still have all of the beach town things to do.

I'd go to Myrtle Beach as a fun family destination.

Disc golf courses are a bonus and should be marketed to the Commissions as a great family friendly activity.

I'm not in a position to travel anywhere for Disc golf so I can't really give an accurate answer.

BTW, I call Myrtle Beach the "Redneck Riviera".

I have not been to Myrtle Beach in over 10 years. For DG to bring me there they would have to be good courses not just a bunch of baskets and some tees. I can play on a challenging DG course here at the house. I do like to eat though and the beach, some good disc golf courses, and good eats might get me there.

We are the Monte Carlo of the Redneck Riviera! lol

That's pretty much the way it's marketed now. Come Play Putt-Putt and Disc Golf! I just hope they don't build all of the courses like that! I hope they throw in a few Solid courses! I do know that the new ones in Horry County are supposed to 18's. G'town, I'm not sure yet.

That's what I'm hoping for! So far, I haven't seen or heard any of the details for the courses. Hopefully I can pull it out of someone. Well, when and if you ever get back out here, you need to hit Prosser's country buffet! It will put THE HURTS to ya!

I spent two summers in North Myrtle, and have no desire to go back. Disc Golf is about the only thing that would give me a desire to go back.

There's your problem, you went to North Myrtle Beach. The south strand is a lot better. I prefer the beaches at Pawleys Island and Litchfield. A LOT LESS TOURISTY! IMO Well, the Irony is, the most recent course we had installed is in Loris, about 10 miles due west of NMB. That is the 9 holer that is supposed to be converted into an 18. From what I've gathered, it will be the First activity of the 4 courses in Horry county. There is one planned for NMB, at North Park, which is right off of 31, Caddy corner to Bell & Bell Pontiac. If you know where that is.
