The stars are beadless, the pro lines are beaded.

Christy still throws her first star grimmy even though we have 3 reserve ones now.

Vegan Ray had an s-load of the star ones.

What's a "zipper top"?

Someone fill me in on this please.

Zipper top/bottom/wing discs have tiny little concentric grooves running along them, and they make a "zipper noise", like a vinyl record, if you run your finger nail along them. Usually this just means that the mold piece is so new that the little machining imperfections haven't been smoothed out yet.

It's when the top of the disc has circular lines on it like a vinyl record. Makes a zipper noise when you run your fingers across it.

Common identifying trait of some late run CE discs.

Had to bring this back to life.

I just came across an old star Gremlin. The plastic is not today's star Plastic. It's opaque and feels like a CE blend but I can't put a date of when it was molded.

The only info I have is that it has patent #s, Tooling is Ontario CAL, and its penned S-GM 171

It has a bead and I was under the impression that star Gremlins were beadless.
