Default DX Viking

They say the DX Viking flies straight. I just bought one today and threw it backhand, but it has a hell of a hook. What am I doing wrong?

I normally throw my Valkyrie sidearm, which doesn't get me much distance since I'm a newb who normally throws LHBH. And Shinypickle, as far as throwing your Viking straight, what's your secret?

They talk a lot don't they?

Technique is how to fly it straight.

Friend of mind throws a DX Viking almost every time from the tee. He's working on getting it to do a nice turnover shot right now but I do know he uses OAT on purpose.

Since you have not been throwing very long, I would say take that disc out and practice with it. I would also suggest you start throwing a Leopard before you throw the Viking.

How far are you throwing the Viking by the way?

the answer may be that it is simply to heavy for you. New people often don't look at weight when purchasing a disc. The type of disc and the color are more important than weight, then they learn 175 is not the right weight for every disc in their bag.
