Default Goodbye to an old friend!

On my way to work Monday the 16th I saw a front loader at my home course with a basket in it's bucket. On my way home I stopped by and every basket was gone and all of the tee signs had been moved to new locations around the park. There was a sign that said "Course closed 3/16 and 3/17 for renovations." My friend at the parks dept told me they are building a new bridge over the San Gabriel River and needed some of the land that the course was on.

I went back on 3/18 and have since played the new configuration about ten times. It is still pretty good but not amazing like it use to be. #1 now starts at the parking area, which is an improvement and #9 finishes close as well. There are no posted distances and the terrain is so hilly that it would be hard to measure accurately without a laser. The online course map with distances is no longer valid.

Here is what it looks like now:
#1 wide open with a slight uphill about 350'
#2 signature hole downhill over a creek under the canopy of a humongous oak tree. 450'ish
#3 Another good elevation drop back over the creek with the best route being anhyzer. Maybe 250'
#4 500'ish wide open after you hit the gap in the trees about 50' from the tee pad. The creek on the right is a factor.
#5 200' wide open ace hole with no challenge except water just to the right of the basket.
#6 <200' but the basket is hidden between the trunks of two large pecan trees.
#7 Same tee pad as the old #5. About 450' with the basket placed on the side of a hill guarded by a couple of large trees.
#8 300' parallel to the creek with a gap in the trees to anhyzer through. Similar to the old #8 but easier.
#9 300' Slight downhill wide open and aceable.

Which course is your home course? You don't say in your post. Also, you might go in and edit the info under the course page just so everyone knows it isn't quite as awesome as it was.

Do you know if the old layout is going to be back someday?
