Question Rim width?

I throw mainly valks and wraiths i like the way they feel in my hand, ive thrown a boss and dont like how wide the rim is. My question is what is a faster disc than my wraiths that has the smallest rim?

Thanks

Speed of the disc directly relates to the rim depth. Anything faster than your wraith will have a deeper rim. Just check out PDGA approved discs page and it will list all of the rim depths for each approved disc.

This. If you don't want a rim wider than your Wraith then you won't be throwing anything faster than it. You can go more overstable or understable, but you cannot go faster without the wider rim.

How far are you throwing, and do you actully NEED a faster disc, or do you just want one?

Well i throw BH about 350 and Sidearm with one finger on the rim about 425. The problem when i get a disc like the boss in my hand it just doesnt seem to feel right and seems to have a much better chance of coming out of my hand wrong

The Destroyer and Surge have a slightly larger rim than the Wraith, but smaller than the Boss. You could try one of those to kinda gauge how big you can go on the rim. Otherwise, you might tap out at the Wraith.

Like you, I really dislike deep-rimmed drivers.

You might want to take a look at the line-up of discs from Latitude 64. The inner rim of their discs do not have as acute of an angle in relation to the flight plate (they are somewhat slanted) vs other warp speed drivers. So, a Riot, which is 22mm feels significantly narrower than a disc of the same rim-width such as the Destroyer. Another example is the Halo and Groove, which both measure to 24mm; the Halo feels notably more comfortable and more slender.

In addition, the slanted rim also allows for a smooth release when you want to apply a ton of snap to a bomber drive.

If any of your friends own a Lat64 (especially a super-fast driver), try it.... you will not regret it.
