Discraft probably (correctly) felt that putting Elaine King's name on a disc was going to do nothing for sales. Elaine was ticked off at the lack of recognition she was getting from a long time sponsor. I can understand both points of view, but it seems Discraft could have done something to make it right.

Elaine throws a number of OOP discs, according to her Discraft team page. They could have done a special signature run of one of those, such as the Avenger, which I'm sure still have a fair number of people who like it and would continue to buy it. Seems like a win/win-but too late now. This situation makes Discraft look bad, IMO.

I don't care WHO you are, that was fantastic. I think all races and gender can enjoy that shot. Okay, back to the debate!

she was struggling to get something to glide down the hill in her practice rounds, and a male pro (forget exactly who) told her not to throw a driver but a midrange!

But I didn't say anything about advertising per se. I implied that this particular form of advertising is a non factor in my buying decisions and I'm sure a great number of us who buy discs echo that sentiment. Flight specs or a video demonstration will get my attention, some sponsored pro's name won't.

That being said, i think I may have vomited in my mouth a little after reading the article. Which is my own fault---I really should find better ways to spend the rest of my time on this planet than reading articles about disc golfers and their sponsorship drama.
Didn't she almost hit JK in the head on that drive. Maybe trying to take out the competition

Wait, which? Telling the story that a male pro told her or a male pro telling her? Just want to keep my manwiches straight.
