Default Shower thought: improving autumn play

I live in a region where the outdoors is lushly carpeted in fallen leaves in the autumn.

We have little stick-on blinky lights for glow play. Why don't we have little stick-on beepy chips for autumn play?

Stick on beepy chips need a power source and some type of speaker. Those add weight, need to be symmetrical and mounted as to not affect the flight of the disc as in dead center of the flight plate.

I would think it could be done but not at a cost that people would be willing to pay.

You can get them- http://www.discbeeper.com/

I have thought about trying one but at $20-$24 they seem overpriced. I keep hoping someone will copy the idea and make them for $4-9 each.

A thread about them-

This is a neat idea, but I can't see serious DGers buying a random "Long Distance Driver" made of "quality plastic" and using it regularly. Maybe to keep in your bag for that seriously overgrown hole, but that's about it.

I like the idea of a Bluetooth device that can be attached to your own discs, so if you have that, why do you need the added weight of a light and beeper? Get rid of those and it should be small enough that you can attach it whichever disc you want to use, without much change in the flight characteristics.
