Default Proof you should always film yourself

I've been playing consistent year round disc golf for the first time in my life for the past 2.5 years. Really been working on improving my game and have had tremendous breakthroughs in that time.

But recently I had my wife film me randomly (so I don't accidentally change my form because I know I'm being filmed) and found out I really don't do an X step in my runup but more of a side step. My left foot never goes behind my lead foot at all, just kind of bumps into the side of it. It's crazy how long I've been working on getting my lead foot out in front of me more and have been getting so frustrated that I can't get it out there.

Hope that makes sense and the moral of the story is always film yourself and analyze every aspect of it, never assume you're doing it right, look for the proof!

Yeah film early film often... and do as I say not as I do.
I FINALLY filmed myself just a while ago thinking I'd reached a plateau and was doing most things right and there was something subtle that needed to be pointed out by the gurus. Wow was I wrong there were some horrendous typical newbish problems that I was just kind of powering through. All could have been solved had I filmed myself a year ago.
There is no substitute for film. I feel I'm above average in kinesthetic awareness and even that,
What you want to do
What you feel you are doing
What you are actually doing
Can be worlds apart
