Can anyone compare the fuse to the gateway element? Right now I throw a Z Buzzz/Glo Element combo for mids, but the fuse is sounding pretty good so I might have to pick one up soon.

I have a 179 E Element, and for me it tends to behave like a Comet - it turns faster. The Fuse is a bit longer and slower turner, and I have more confidence in the ability to just grip and rip without the turn and burn.

That said, brand new Opto's will fade-to-straight when thrown flat, so sometimes just a *touch* of anny will ensure it won't come back if you're throwing less than 100% power.

JMO, and for reference I throw mids 280-300'

OAT and Overpowering are NOT the same thing. Many people do get confused though, because they think they are overpowering a disc and they actually just have really gross form.

The OP said himself:

Basically I want something I can torque that will turnover, and not come back... I do like throwing more max weight plastics to hid or humble OAT.
I was responding to his description of his own throwing style. ^

I still dont "technically" have mine yet since they are "from Santa" but I just got done sneaking into my present hiding area and fondelling them.

They kinda remind me of a Coyote but with a different rim. Its seems more "blocky" where the coyote rim felt more round. Dont have a Coyote anymore to compare and its been a while so take it for what its worth.

Hated my Coyotes. Love me some Fuse for what it's worth. Totally different feel for me. Or I was just better/smarter when I finally found the Fuse.

So went out yesterday, wind was blowing about 20-30mph, threw the fuse on a huge anny and let the wind grab it, went over 450ft. The most amazing mid-range throw ever, even if the wind was more responsible than me, however I belive that it was the extra glide that helped to move things out and out. The fuse will now never leave my bag because I'm always going to be looking to do it again.

Yeah I ended up about as far away from the hole on my second shot as I was on my drive, but it was super cool, especially since I was throwing with my noob friend who kept saying, "That was a mid-range!"

So after a week with my 178 Opto Fuse... I think it's permanent. I have learned that, if I don't step up and get behind this thing, it won't do as I wish. I'm sure that will go away as it beats in, or as I learn what it wants from me. Great disc.
