Default Goodbye, Meteor.

I was playing Parma DGC the other day, and stepped up to a hole which is generally an easy deuce for me. The hole plays fairly short, maybe around 200' through gentle woods, downhill, and over a small creek. Well, a creek that is usually small, and very easy to fish your disc out of.

Me, in my supreme knowledge, forgets that it has POURED the last few days and little creek has become raging rapids. Meteor is going straight at the basket...hits a tree...falls into "creek." Meteor is immediately washed away. I assume it's in the lake by now.

Any other funny disc loss stories?

There's no such thing as a "funny disc loss" story

My most embarrasing disc loss story was from when a friend of mine and I were playing an unfamiliar course. We were having fun and giving each other a hard time throughout the round...then on one hole he kept making noises when I shot...finally when I was about 30 feet away, instead of putting it, I turned and whipped the Roc I was throwing with at my buddy. Well I threw it a little too hard and because I didn't know the course, didn't realize that the "woods" behind him was really a thin line of bushes in front of a 30 foot cliff right down into a little lake Needless to say I lost my Roc and my friend and I laughed for about 20 minutes...

Hole #7 at Highland in Baton Rouge crosses a deep ditch where overhanging tree limbs needed trimming. First Valk hit the limbs and drowned forever. I say, no way that can happen a second time. Or for sure a third time. 3 Valks - boom, boom. boom. Now I throw a beat up Beast I don't mind losing on that hole and have never hit a limb yet.

Hole #16 at Kaposia park, left side side is a huge crater drop off, right side is a pond, very gross. I throw, it fades left, hits a tree and goes across the fairway into the pond. I had to pay a youngin' 5 bucks to jump in and fish it out
