Default Meteor Power!

Just wanted to throw it out there that I picked up a misprint used ESP Meteor a few weeks ago. This last weekend, however, was the first time I really let myself use it as a workhorse mid. ZOMGawsh! It is easily one of my favorite discs now. KILLER glide. On open ceiling shots, I feel very confident hyze-flipping it for 360' shots. It floats forever, and is so dang controllable.

Any other Meteormaniacs out there?

I was using Champion Stingrays for those shots and the meteor kicked them right out the bag

Well, I generally throw flat as well, but I'm just amazed at the versatility of this disc when given some height/hyze. Low/flat is some of the most buttery slow anny's I've ever run into. I usually just hit these lines with Pro D Buzzzes, but for the time, I'm really enjoying the Meteor. The one I have is so flat that it feels just like a Buzzz in the hand, so I'm not really even having to get used to it.

I first found the Meteor because it felt more like a Buzzz than a Stingray does. I typically use the Meteor around here as a max distance driver on these super wooded private courses around here. I can probably use a Comet for many of the same shots, but I just can't bring myself to drop the Meteor. It seems like it can handle wind and more power better than a Comet also.

oooh nice i would love to get a nice flatty.. all of mine have atleast a slight dome to em... last year i had a few ace race ones but i was throwing the rays then and didnt give them a shot.. then traded them away ... you seen the Z-Meteor? i have never thrown one but i think they gave them out to the ace race winners that year

I started throwing the Meteor for Anhyzers and flippy stuff. It works better for those shots than the X Buzzz I was using. I was suprised at the distance you can get with these. They are not as flippy as the rating would suggest. With a little hyzer I can get these out there with fairway drivers. I switched back to PDs for my main driver and the Meteor fills the gap nicely between PD and Mid. Keep in mind I dont have a canon arm so my distance gaps are smaller than most people.

I used to carry a Meteor, but when I started minimizing my molds, it came out of the bag. The one thing I LOVED that disc for were the shots where you're backed up against a tree, with little room to move your arm. You can wrist-flip that thing, and it will fly for days.

Dammit .. I might just have to get mine out again.
