Default My old bag

I started playing disc golf about 15 years ago in college, when I went through a tear and played about everyday. I got pretty good and collected a nice set of discs. When I left college, I stopped playing and my bag has sat in my garage for 12 years.

2 weeks ago my buddy asked about playing so I dug them out and we played a couple rounds over the last couple weeks. The second round we played I threw my Valkyrie into some thick bush so I threw a couple of other discs and forgot about it and walked away without going to retrieve it.

So I looked up a local shop and went to go replace it but couldn’t find the type of disc I had before. I found Valkyries, but not the plastic type that felt like my old one. I went to get my bag to show the dealer what I was talking about with some of my other discs and he informed me that a lot of my discs are very old and very valuable and now I’m basically too scared to throw my discs lol.

Anyway, I took pics of the old discs to show. I don’t know what they’re worth and I haven’t decided if I want to sell them, but I might sell some some and get all new plastic.

Enjoy!

Wow. There are some GREAT discs in there! Yes, there is some value in them (Pearly PFN Beasts, Z Reaper, Pro Firebird, Pro Rhino and PFN Champ Leopards) But discs are never really that profitable for resale. I'd say you prolly could get $30-$40 for a couple of them, but mostly would be in the $15-$20 range at best. The DX is almost always less than original price. I would definitely hold on to those classics and keep working what you know. Personally, I would love to just have some classic premium plastic to show off on the course. I've been playing for about 15 years and only have a handful of old PFN, Pearly and OOP molds and regret getting rid of some of the original plastic I had.

Most valuable would definitely be that Pearly PFN Beast, the Pro Firebird, PFN Leopards, and the Z Reaper.

Thanks for sharing some disc-porn. You've got some stellar discs in there!

I don't know my old stuff but that Z Reaper would definitely get you some decent green from someone who wants to throw it. The Beasts and Leopards look solid and maybe worth something but just beg to be thrown!

For someone who knows better than I do: is that pro older than CE plastic?

I tried! It's either already been snagged by someone else or it's not getting found until winter. Bummer!

I won it off of a guy in college and could never throw it well. Still can't. So it's probably only been thrown a hand full of times, ever.

I've been shooting the Rhynos since almost the beginning for short shots and putts. I got the regular one, and found the Pro Line sometime later, but had been using that for a while before I stopped. It's still so grippy!
