Default How high is your Max Golf D

I've seen articles spelling out how high your max golf D hyzer flip should be and my max drives don't usually fit. So I'm wondering what others experience. What is the maximum height of the disc when you hit your longest throws over a level surface and the type of throw?

maby a little higher than my head, with a small hyzer gets me max D, if you throw it to high, it is going to cut back as it falls and be less distance

i picked three for the three different types of throws (all RHBH).

Hyzer flip-21'+: Throw a valkyrie high and to the left with hyzer, let it come work to the right, and then come back left.
Flex-21'+: Throwing an overstable driver anhyzer high and to the left, blah blah blah...
Flat-11-20': Throw a stable disc anywhere from 10-15' off the ground and let the disc do its job.

It depends on if its open or tight
open big flex shot probably 20+
tight flat 0-10

My max distance has been comming when I get it rght around 10' high. Maybe I need to let them get a little higher but if I do that, it seems they sputter and drop into a fade early.

I get about the same distance with hyzer-flip, flex, or flat. Hyzer-flip about 30' and flex hits about 40' high. Flat shot hits about 20' high. I know Avery hits about 60' high with his hyzer-flip and Nikko hits about 70' with his flex shot.

That squares with conventional wisdom. My long shots tend to be more like Technos and stay laser low. That's okay but sometimes I need to go over obstacles and would like to get the same D.

Yeah, I dont throw very far though, but I think the easier one to get up high would be a flex shot, at least for an arm like mine. Hyzer flip would probably not work well for me trying to throw high I dont think. Think it would become more of a hyzer spike regardless of what disc I use. With an overstable disc with a flex shot I would be more sure it would fight to come back.

My flex shot is usually around 20-30' off the ground, but my hyzer-flips can be anywhere from 10'-50' depending on the wind and what I'm going for. Hyzer-flip to straight finish is about 10-30' depending on the stability of the disc as more understable discs can be thrown higher. Hyzer-flip to hyzer finish is usually around 40-50'.

couldnt really decide on what to vote for , but my usual longest shots without any wind help are usually slight flex shots that stay around or under 10ft for most of the flight, and stay real close to a straight line. I usually throw a 167-169 champ starfire but the new one i bought is the most overstable one ive ever had so ive been using my still fairley new orc until my starfire chills out a little.
