It strikes me as odd that people can proclaim 99% survival as a positive.

Imagine a football stadium with 80,000 fans, where it was announced that at some point in the game, officials would spray the crowd with automatic weapons, killing 80 and hospitalizing another 300 or so, some with resulting lifetime disabilities.

Almost everyone there would enjoy the game and leave it, unharmed. Wouldn't that be a great experience!

It seems like I would rather suffer the catastrophic inconvenience of a mask over, a lifetime of guilt for killing my own mother. MY OWN MOTHER!!! Where on this earth is that even considered an intelligent trade off. SMH.

If you had a child and the child REALLY wanted a skittle, but the bowl had 1 Skittle that would kill the child.....would you let the child take a handful?? I mean, it would be way more convenient to just take the chance, than have to tell the child no....right?

1% would actually be 800 dead in that stadium, which makes it so much harder to understand the resistance to masking up.

If you go outside on a 10 degree winter day, that cloud you make when you exhale is a good example of what spreading the virus without a mask looks like.

Oops. Pre-coffee math errors.

That also means about 3,000 in brutal hospital stays.
